Enrolling Future Leaders Today

At Yasin Higher Secondary School (YHSS), we offer two annual admissions intakes to accommodate students at both the school and college levels. Our goal is to provide a seamless and supportive admissions process, ensuring that all applicants find their best academic fit within our vibrant community.

In addition to our scheduled annual admission intakes, we also accommodate ad-hoc admissions throughout the academic year, subject to seat availability. This option is available for students seeking to transfer from other schools. However, these admissions are contingent upon several factors, including the availability of seats, the prior academic record and learning experiences of the students, and the alignment of their previous education with our school’s curriculum. We encourage interested families to contact us for more information on the transfer process and to discuss individual circumstances.

Annual Admission Intake


School Admissions (Grades 6–10) – Spring Intakee

Our spring intake is open for students entering Grades 6 to 10. This intake is ideal for those looking to join our Middle and Secondary School levels, where we provide a strong academic foundation alongside opportunities for personal growth and development. The spring admissions process typically begins in Sprin, with classes commencing in April. We encourage prospective students and their families to apply early to secure their place.

College Admissions (Grades 11–12) – Fall Intake

For students advancing to our Higher Secondary section, we offer a fall intake starting in August. This is the perfect time for students to choose their academic stream—whether it be Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Intermediate in Computer Science (ICS), or Intermediate in Commerce (I.COM). The fall intake admissions process begins in Summer, with classes starting in September.

1. Inquiry and Application Submission
Prospective students and parents inquire about the school’s programs, admission criteria, and application deadlines. For applicants seeking financial assistance, a thorough needs assessment is carried out to evaluate their financial situation. For higher grades, the school administers a formal entrance test and interview. While there is no compromise on merit, financial circumstances are not a barrier to applying, ensuring that deserving students have equal opportunities for admission.
Admission Decision
Based on the application, evaluation, and availability of seats, the school makes an admission decision. Parents or guardians are notified if the student has been accepted, waitlisted, or declined. Students and parents have the right to appeal if they have concerns or doubts regarding the admission process.
Enrollment and Fee Payment:
The final step in the process is completing enrollment. This includes paying the required fees, submitting any remaining forms—such as agreements to school policies and rules—and attending a welcome session to help students and parents become familiar with the school environment.
